Abstract
Objective : This study investigates the impact of social networks on elderly health in communities, understanding the various ways social networks are lost and exploring specific aspects directly related to health outcomes.

Methods : Literature data from major domestic databases (2013~2023) were searched using terms ¡°social network¡± and ¡°elderly¡± and ¡°community¡± and ¡°health¡±. Out of 1,744 papers, 13 were analyzed.

Results : This study examined a total of 79,491 subjects, comprising 46,945 female (59.1%) and 32,546 male (40.9%). Measurements for social networks encompassed contact frequency with family, relatives, neighbors, friends, and others. Health-related indicators linked to social networks primarily included depression and subjective health, followed by the number of chronic diseases, physical functions, daily activities, pain, and isolation. Regression analysis was most commonly employed (10 cases), followed by correlation analysis (7 cases), t-tests (5 cases), ANOVA (3 cases), factor analysis (2 cases), structural equation modeling (2 cases), and chi-square tests (2 cases). Other techniques involved F-test, fit analysis, multigroup analysis, path analysis, bootstrapping, and Sobel tests.

Conclusion : The study¡¯s significance lies in providing a basis for future policies and intervention programs targeting social networks for the elderly in communities.
